साउथ के सुपरस्टार धनुष और उनकी पत्नी ऐश्वर्या ने शादी के 18 साल बाद अब अपने रास्ते अलग कर लिए हैं। दोनों ने सोमवार को सोशल मीडिया पर एक ज्वॉइंट स्टेटमेंट जारी करते हुए अपने प्रशंसकों को इस बात की जानकारी दी थी। बता दें कि दोनों की शादी 18 नवंबर, 2004 को हुई थी। अभिनेता और सुपरस्टार रजनीकांत की बेटी ऐश्वर्या की शादी को लेकर फैंस काफी एक्साइटेड थे। दोनों के बीच कभी भी तनाव की खबरें सामने नहीं आईं। ऐसे में उनका अचानक अलग होने का फैसला सबको चौंका देने वाला था।
मीडिया रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक अभिनेता धनुष को बैक-टू-बैक फिल्में ऑफर हो रही थी। जिसके चलते वह शूटिंग में बिजी और अक्सर शहर से बाहर रहने लगे। धनुष काम की वजह से ऐश्वर्या को वक्त नहीं दे पा रहे थे। इन्हीं चीजों के चलते दोनों के बीच दूरियां बढ़ने लगी। रिपोर्ट में यह भी दावा किया गया है कि धनुष अपने काम को प्राथमिकता देने लगे और ऐसे में ऐश्वर्या उनसे परेशान रहने लगीं।
रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक धनुष ने कई बार अपने रिश्तों को नजरअंदाज कर शूटिंग को प्राथमिकता दी। जिसकी वजह से दोनों के बीच फासले बढ़ते चले गए। उन्होंने तब भी फिल्में साइन की जब ऐश्वर्या और उनके बीच संबंध अच्छे नहीं थे। हालांकि रिपोर्ट में यह भी दावा किया जा रहा है कि दोनों ने तलाक का फैसला लेने से पहले विभिन्न पहलुओं पर चर्चा की और अंत में अलग होने का फैसला लिया।

धनुष और ऐश्वर्या के दो बेटे हैं- यात्रा और लिंगा। यात्रा की उम्र 16 है और लिंगा अभी 12 साल के हैं। जहां तक बच्चों की कस्टडी का सवाल है तो अभी तक इस बारे में कोई जानकारी सामने नहीं आई है। हालांकि कहा जा रहा है कि ऐश्वर्या और धनुष दोनों बच्चों का पालन-पोषण साथ मिलकर करेंगे।
